Article Writing For Money - Using Page Ranks to Identify Good Keywords

If you are unaware of what a page rank is, here is a quick explanation. Google ranks the popularity of a website by assigning a page rank value to it. The rank is based on the number of back links other website cast for your website. A back link is when another website places a link on their website that will take surfers to your website. So the more back links you have pointing to your site, the higher your page rank will be. Take a look at your website's page rank now. You can easily look at the page rank of websites if you download and install some free page rank tool.

Let's go back to parcel delivery service. Now, with a page rank of 5, it should be fairly easy to dethrone this website from its number one spot by increasing your own back links. I will show you how to get hundreds of back links in a matter of days. If a website has a page rank of 6 or higher, however, then I would forget that particular keyword and look for another one until you have built up some traffic with the easier keywords. You can also use another third-party website checker to check on your page rank.

Now back to our research. We need to look at the source code of our biggest competitor. Every website is created using HTML program language. You can view the source code of that language by clicking source code on your browser. Make sure you have the competitor's website showing in your browser, then go to "view" in your toolbar and click "source". A text file will open up, revealing some interesting information. The main information we need to learn is, is this website fully utilizing its on-page optimization factors?

To be successful in the search engine rankings, we need to look at both on-page and off-page optimization factors. For the moment, the information you need to obtain from the source code is:

A) Is this website using H1 header tags? And if so, are they placing the keywords 'parcel delivery service' within those tags? In this case, fortunately, they have not placed the keyword in the header tag and nor are they using the header tag at all.

B) Is this website using the main keyword in the title tag of the website? Yes, they have used the main keyword in their title tag, and this probably accounts for the reason that they are ranked number one.
