With millions of articles posted on the World Wide Web today, it is important that you know how to make yours stand out from the rest. Here's how you can do that:
1. Define your audience. The first thing that you need to do is to get to know the people you are writing for. You will need to do this so you can easily figure out the topics to write about, the writing style and tone that you are going to use, and the kind of information that you need to include on your copies. Spend some time on forums and blogs that are frequented by these people. Read their posts to get an idea on what they want, what they need, and what they would like achieve.
2. Spice up your articles. If you are planning to post your articles on your blog and on your website, you may opt to insert relevant images or animations that are pleasing on the eyes. These can help you capture the attention of online users so you can get them to read your articles in their entirety.
3. Be an expert. By this, I simply mean know your chosen niche inside and out so you can be a great source of information to your readers.
4. Empathize. If you want to make your articles sound more human, you must be able to articulate some emotions on your content. If you are discussing about the pressing issues being faced by your readers, you may tell them that you do understand where they are coming from and that you are more than willing to help them out.
5. Tell your story. Share a piece of yourself on your articles to make them more impacting. You may share your experiences that are closely relevant to your main topic. By doing so, you can make your articles sound more personal and more interesting to read.
6. Avoid the marketing hype. Don't make your articles sound like sales letters. You can easily do this by focusing your attention on informing or empowering your readers instead of blatantly pitching your offerings.
7. Organize your content. Make your articles sound more organized by creating and following an outline. This could be just a bullet list of all the major points that you would like to cover on your copies.
